This workshop will provide a foundational understanding of various evidence-based theories on regulation (including Dan Siegal's Window of Tolerance, Stephen Porges' Neuroception of Safety and Bruce Perry's Three R's). Together, we will explore the effects of stress and trauma on children's ability to remain regulated and socially engaged. Once you've learned the theory, you'll learn how to support regulation in practice. Learn the difference between co-regulation and self-regulation and how to support children using a regulatory and relationship-based approach. You'll leave this session with a suite of different regulatory activities that can be incorporated into daily routines and programming.
