Reconciliation in Education

Understanding what reconciliation is and the importance of weaving reconciliation through your service is integral to strengthening relationships between First Nations people and the broader community. Join us to learn about what reconciliation really means, how to implement reconciliation goals, develop a reconciliation action plan, and to understand your own responsibilities. --- This event will be hosted by Natalie Gentle from Reconciliation SA. Reconciliation SA are the lead reconciliation council for South Australia, and champion a reconciled and just South Australian society free from racism through education, information, conversation, and advocacy. Natalie Gentle is Reconciliation SA’s Education Project Officer and works with the South Australian education sector to understand their responsibilities in progressing reconciliation in their early learning and school sites. Natalie has a background of early childhood education, and has a keen interest in education reform, the rights of children and young people, and most importantly, the rights of First Nations people being upheld.
Please note that this policy does not apply to free sessions. A participant must notify Connect.Ed by email if they wish to cancel their attendance at a professional development session. If notice of cancellation is provided more than 7 business days prior to the professional development session, the participant may choose to either receive a refund (less a $20 administration fee) or transfer to a different PD session within 3 months of the cancellation date, without fee or penalty If notice of cancellation is not provided within 7 business days of the professional development session start date, the registration fee will not be refunded and Connect.Ed may be unable to transfer your registration to a suitable professional development session substitute. Transfer of registration under these circumstances is subject to availability.
