Abbey

Occupational Therapist

Abbey is an Occupational Therapist who recently completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of South Australia, as part of the final cohort of graduates from UniSA.

Abbey values connection and relationships above all else, believing that building trust is the foundation for meaningful support. She is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable environment for children, and is not afraid to be playful, silly, or vulnerable to help children feel at ease and engaged.

Abbey has a strong interest in supporting children’s confidence, emotional wellbeing, and sense of self. She believes that when children feel confident and capable within themselves, they are better able to engage, learn, and thrive in their everyday environments. As someone who is naturally more introverted, Abbey brings a thoughtful and attuned approach to her work, allowing her to connect deeply with children and understand their individual needs.

Her approach is play-based, child-led, and intentional, using engaging activities to support development while following the child’s lead. Abbey is passionate about working within the environments where children feel most comfortable, and values collaborating closely with families, educators, and the wider support team to ensure strategies are meaningful, practical, and embedded into everyday routines.

Outside of work, Abbey enjoys playing local AFL, winding down with a good book, getting creative with arts and crafts, and spending time with her dog and cat.
