Early Intervention Services
Supporting children to participate, connect and thrive in the places that matter most.
Connect.Ed provides outreach Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology for children from infancy through to school age. Rather than asking families to come to a clinic, we support children within the environments where they live, learn and play.
Early intervention is about recognising concerns early and providing support that helps children build the skills they need to participate confidently in everyday life.
Every child develops differently.
Some children benefit from additional support with communication, play, movement, regulation, sensory processing, independence or social participation.
Our role isn't to change who children are.
Our role is to understand their strengths, identify barriers to participation and work alongside the important adults in their lives to create meaningful, achievable change.

By supporting children within their natural environments, we gain a better understanding of their daily experiences and can work alongside families and educators to develop practical strategies that continue long after each appointment has finished.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists support children to participate in the everyday activities that are important to them.
This may include support with:
sensory processing
emotional regulation
fine motor skills
gross motor skills
play
self-care
school readiness
independence
participation in everyday routines
Speech Pathology
Speech Pathologists support children to communicate with confidence and participate meaningfully in everyday interactions.
This may include support with:
speech
language
social communication
literacy
AAC
fluency
feeding
mealtimes
How We Work
Every child is different.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach.
We take the time to understand each child's strengths, interests, relationships and everyday environments before working collaboratively with families and educators to develop meaningful goals.
Appointments may take place:
at home
at childcare
at school
via telehealth
Where appropriate, we also collaborate with teachers, educators, medical professionals and other members of a child's support team to ensure everyone is working towards shared goals.

Many children access early intervention while concerns are still being explored. A diagnosis is not required to seek support.

Children may access our services through a range of funding options, including privately, Medicare (where eligible) and the NDIS.

Working alongside educators is a core part of our outreach model and helps ensure strategies can be embedded into children's everyday routines.
