❋
Practical, multidisciplinary support that builds inclusive practice.
Every early childhood service is unique.
That's why Connect.Ed's Innovative Solutions projects are tailored to the needs of your educators, children and service.
Rather than delivering generic professional development, we work alongside your team to build confidence, strengthen inclusive practice and develop practical strategies that can be sustained long after our involvement ends.
Whether you're looking to deepen educator understanding, strengthen inclusion or better support children with diverse developmental needs, we'll partner with you to create a solution that works for your service.
What is Innovative Solutions?
Innovative Solutions is a tailored professional learning and capacity-building service designed specifically for early childhood education and care settings.
Each project is developed in partnership with your service and may involve Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Developmental Educators, Psychosocial Therapists and experienced Early Childhood Professionals working together to address the priorities that matter most to your team.
Our focus isn't simply on sharing knowledge.
It's about helping educators develop the confidence, understanding and practical skills needed to create meaningful and sustainable change within their everyday practice.
No two services are the same—and neither are our Innovative Solutions projects.
Areas We Can Support
Every project is tailored to your service, but common areas of support include:
Understanding Children's Behaviour
Helping educators understand behaviour through a developmental, relationship-based lens.
Together, we'll explore what children may be communicating through their behaviour and develop practical strategies that support regulation, participation and inclusion.
Communication
Supporting educators to create communication-rich learning environments that encourage participation, connection and meaningful engagement.
This may include strategies to support children with emerging language, communication differences or additional communication needs.
Sensory Processing & Learning Environments
Understanding how sensory processing influences children's participation, wellbeing and behaviour.
We'll work alongside educators to identify practical adjustments to environments, routines and daily experiences that better support regulation, independence and engagement.
Tailored Professional Learning
Every service has different priorities.
Rather than delivering off-the-shelf workshops, we'll design professional learning that responds directly to the needs of your educators, children and community.
How We Work
Every Innovative Solutions project combines professional learning with practical coaching and mentoring to help educators confidently embed new knowledge into everyday practice.
Professional Learning
We begin by working with your leadership team to understand your goals before designing a series of professional learning sessions tailored specifically to your service.
Sessions are practical, interactive and evidence-informed, giving educators knowledge they can immediately apply within their own environments.
Coaching & Mentoring
Professional learning is only one part of creating meaningful change.
Our practitioners then work alongside educators within their own learning environments, providing coaching and mentoring while new strategies are being implemented.
These visits give educators opportunities to ask questions, reflect on practice and receive support within the context of their everyday work.
During coaching visits, our practitioners may observe:
learning environments
daily routines
transitions
educator-child interactions
relationships
children's participation
environmental influences on behaviour and engagement
Following these observations, we provide practical recommendations tailored to your service.
Where appropriate, our team can also model strategies, demonstrate practical approaches and work alongside educators to embed new practices into their daily rhythms.
This collaborative approach builds educator confidence while ensuring recommendations are practical, achievable and sustainable.
Why Connect.Ed?
At Connect.Ed, we believe the most effective professional learning doesn't happen in a training room.
It happens alongside educators, within real learning environments, while supporting real children.
Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise across allied health, early childhood education and trauma-informed practice to provide practical, relationship-based support that strengthens educator capability and improves outcomes for children.
Rather than leaving services with lengthy reports or generic recommendations, our goal is to ensure educators feel confident implementing strategies long after our involvement concludes.
Because when educators feel confident, children benefit.
Let's talk about your service.
Every Innovative Solutions project is tailored, and we'd love to learn more about your service, your team and the outcomes you're hoping to achieve.
Final Call to Action
Let's work together to create practical, multidisciplinary solutions that strengthen educator confidence and support meaningful inclusion across your service.
