Overview

Every child develops differently.

Some children need additional support to participate in routines, develop independence, build relationships or engage confidently within their learning environment.

Developmental Education focuses on understanding each child's strengths, recognising the barriers they may be experiencing and working collaboratively with educators to create opportunities for meaningful participation throughout the day.

Through Preschool Boost, we work alongside educators to build confidence, strengthen inclusive practice and develop practical strategies that become part of everyday learning.

Why This Matters

Children learn best when they are able to participate alongside their peers.

Small adjustments to routines, environments and educator responses can make a significant difference to a child's confidence, independence and sense of belonging.

By strengthening educator understanding of child development and participation, we help services build inclusive environments where all children have opportunities to experience success.

What Support May Include

Support is tailored to the needs of your service and may include:

  • educator coaching and mentoring
  • environmental observations
  • strengths-based developmental planning
  • supporting children's independence
  • adapting routines and learning experiences
  • collaborative problem-solving
  • supporting participation across everyday activities

Our Approach

We believe every child deserves opportunities to participate, contribute and experience success.

Rather than focusing on what children can't do, we work alongside educators to recognise strengths, remove barriers and create environments where children can confidently engage in learning, play and relationships.

By building educator capability, we're able to create sustainable change that continues well beyond our visits.
