Emma

Professional Development Facilitator

Emma has been teaching for the past seven years after completing a Bachelor of Primary Education. Throughout her time teaching, she developed a passion for supporting children and families, particularly those who have experienced trauma.

Emma is also a qualified foster carer and has a wealth of understanding of the impacts of developmental trauma on children and families. She has extensive experience working alongside allied health professionals and the Department for Child Protection in supporting the development of children and young people.

Emma incorporates her experiences to provide a strengths-based approach to providing guidance and support in educational settings. Her experience in a caring and teaching capacity provides a unique insight to making meaningful changes in order to support the overall well-being and development of children. Emma's approach is in line with The Circle of Security and the importance of developing healthy attachment with caregivers by seeking to understand and meet each child's needs daily.

In her spare time, Emma loves to spend quality time with her young family and go on ventures outdoors.
