Speech Pathologist
Monique has a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Adelaide. She values building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families recognising that connection is crucial for effective support and positive outcomes. Monique uses a holistic, child-centred approach when working with children. Her practice is informed by evidence-based strategies, play-based learning, and neuro-affirming principles. She draws on a range of therapeutic approaches that are specific to a child’s individual needs and development.
Monique is committed to continuing her professional growth and is keen to broaden her clinical knowledge and skills. Monique has a growing interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and speech sound disorders, and she is passionate about expanding her expertise in these areas.
Monique believes that play is a vital part of children’s development. She recognises that play supports communication, social skills, and cognitive development. She incorporates play-based strategies into her work to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
With experience supporting children and their families in both early childhood and school settings, Monique has worked in areas including speech and language intervention, early intervention and neuro-affirming practice. She is dedicated to supporting children to reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Outside of work, Monique enjoys spending time with family and friends and engaging in fitness activities that support her wellbeing.
