Understanding Children’s Behaviour
3 Hours
This workshop explores the complexities of children's behaviours that are often labelled as 'challenging'. The session takes a deep dive into decoding these behaviours, acknowledging them as a nuanced form of communication, particularly within the context of developmental trauma.
Participants will engage in reflective discussion, delving into the 'needs behind behaviours' using the iceberg model. Participants will develop an understanding of the importance of 'prioritizing prevention', emphasizing the importance of proactive strategies in creating supportive environments.
Further, the workshop will facilitate dialogue on understanding challenging behaviours within the context of developmental trauma, equipping educators with valuable insights and tools to foster a more empathetic and trauma-informed approach to supporting children.
Participants will be provided with templates to further reflect on children's behaviour.
A certificate for your participation in this workshop will be provided upon completion.
