Monique J

Speech Pathologist

Monique is a qualified and practising neuroaffirming Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours). She values connection and strong, trusting relationships as the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work. She believes that when children feel safe, understood, and connected, they are best able to learn and grow.

Her approach is neuroaffirming and relationship-based, informed by the Circle of Security framework. She aims to support children in ways that honour their individuality, strengths, and communication styles while building secure and responsive relationships with caregivers and educators.

Monique also draws on neuroaffirming principles to ensure her practice respects each child’s individual profile, strengths and communication style. She aims to support children in ways that build regulation, connection and confidence rather than compliance.

Monique also has additional training and certificates in feeding therapy, which supports her work with children who experience challenges with eating and mealtimes.

She believes the role of a Speech Pathologist is vital in supporting children’s participation, confidence, and access to learning, forming a key foundation for safe, inclusive and engaging educational environments where all children can thrive.

Outside of work, Monique enjoys getting coffee with her partner and her sausage dog, Lola, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with friends.
