Sarah

Professional Learning Facilitator

Sarah has a Bachelor of Psychological Science, a Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care, and a Graduate Certificate in Child-Centred Play Therapy.  Her values stem from her passion for providing inclusive and safe environments for all children, largely influenced by trauma-informed practices and play-based care.  She has additional training in Circle of Security facilitation, and believes in building the capacity of educators and caregivers to understand attachment and connection.  She strongly believes in the need to begin working with children in the earliest stages of development, and how imperative the role of primary caregivers is during this time.

Sarah has previously worked within the mental health sector, and has over 15 years experience in the ECEC industry, combining her passion for quality education, care and wellbeing to be a priority in early childhood development.  Working with both children and educators has given her the experience to mentor and support all areas of the ECEC environment through a trauma-informed lens.

Outside of her Connect.Ed role, you'll find Sarah surrounded by her 3 children and husband, visiting beaches, attending sporting events, and soaking up our beautiful South Australian wine regions.
